Guidelines for Setting Up Phones, Tablets, and Consoles for Children

When setting up devices such as phones, tablets, or gaming consoles for children, it is often necessary to create an email account for the child. Be sure to choose a strong password and securely record any recovery information.

Setting Up Gaming Consoles

When configuring gaming consoles, you may need to create your own primary account (e.g., PlayStation Network, Nintendo, or Xbox account) even if the child will be the main user. Child accounts can then be linked to the primary account.

Most gaming platforms provide parental control features, allowing you to set appropriate restrictions on gameplay, purchases, and online interactions.
